About Album

“Kicking a Medicine Ball” is a dynamic and energetic album by the band Coffeeshower, showcasing their unique blend of punk rock infused with melodic and powerful riffs. This album captures the essence of their sound—raw yet refined, with a contagious energy that resonates with both long-time fans and new listeners alike.

One of the standout features of “Kicking a Medicine Ball” is the band’s daring cover of the 80’s hit single “Maniac”. Originally made famous by Michael Sembello, this track is given a fresh, punk-rock twist by Coffeeshower, transforming the classic into an electrifying rendition that feels both nostalgic and new. The cover not only pays homage to the original but also infuses it with the band’s signature style, making it a highlight of the album.

Another key element of the album is the video for the song “Medicine Ball”. This track is not just a musical experience but a visual one as well, with a video that captures the raw energy and intensity of Coffeeshower’s performance. The song itself is a perfect representation of the album’s overall tone—fast-paced, gritty, and full of life.

“Kicking a Medicine Ball” is more than just an album; it’s a statement of Coffeeshower’s evolution as a band. With its mix of original tracks and the memorable “Maniac” cover, it solidifies their place in the punk rock scene, offering something for both the nostalgic and the contemporary listener.

Album Reviews
