Multiball is a young band that has been present in Slovenia since 2001. Its members come from Celje and its surrondings and their music could be defined as punk rock in the broad sense of the word.
Unofficial beginnings and roots of the band reach far back before year 2001, when the members practised and hardened in different punk and HC bands from Celje and Žalec. As those fell apart they formed a band of their own called Multiball, which combines elements and influences of all previous bands.
Then still a five-member band soon recorded its first demo track, which was positively accepted and brought the band quite a few concerts by the end of the year 2001. The band began the new year 2002 full of zeal and ideas. Many goals were set and one of them was the release of the first album. So the guys went to the studio again and the result was the second demo track, which was to serve as a preproduction to their debut. Concerts all over Slovenia followed and arrangements for the recording of the first album were to begin in September 2002. However, during the summer the band underwent radical changes as the bassist and guitarist disappeared from the scene. The guys were forced to find a solution to this problem. The best one was that Gregor, who had been by then the band\'s singer, took over also the guitar playing. Soon after a new bass player joined in.
Because of the role switching, recording was postponed till May 2003. After three months of playing and practise with the new bassist, the guys again decided to go to the studio where they recorded their third demo consisting of four tracks. Although this third demo could boast the best sound so far and the recording of their debut was almost guaranteed, at this point trouble didn\'t seem to end. The band decided to change the members, because they couldn\'t find a suitable bassist who would play as a constant member and fit in with the activity of the band. This agony was present till June when they finally found an appropriate bassist.
Today the band is composed of Gregor (vocals/guitar), Jan (drums), Goran (guitar/backing vocals) and Anže (bass/backing vocals). After more than one year of absence from the stage and after the trouble with the members, the band had a successful comeback in September. They performed all over Slovenia and also abroad and recieved a great deal of approval from local devotees of punk rock music. This year, 2004, is the year of Multiball. The guys have finished the work around their debut, which is out since June this year. After the release they\'re setting out for one short tour across Slovenia in September and one European tour in October.. Of course they won\'t be missed in Slovenia - you will be able to see and hear them in summer and autumn as they will be presenting their album on solo concerts, concerts performed with other bands and some festivals. In spite all the changes, good and bad, that happened in their short history, the members remain unchanged and are ready today to play wherever and find time for whomever.
